I feel like you are wondering why I call my dog Val/Valarie when her name is Stella. No? Well, I'll tell you anyway...you see...her name is ACTUALLY Valarie. That was the name she had when we got her from the Golden Valley (MN) Humane Society in December of 2005 anyway. I decided I wanted to change it becuase, at the time (WHAT was I thinking), I didn't think Valarie was the best name for a dog (oh--my sweetie agreed). So, I announced that her name would be...Phyllis! My sweetie and my cousin just stared at me. Then they went ahead and named the dog Stella (for the beer--Stella Artois). I went along with it, but, I choose to rename her every so often (we renamed her once, why not fourteen times??). Here are a few of her other names:
